The winter youth cheerleading program is offered at the various Recreation Centers in conjunction with the youth basketball program. This program allows children ages 5-13 to participate in a recreational cheer program.

Proof of age and PAYS registration is required if you are registering your child for the first time in a City of Greensboro Athletic program; Please register in person at the Greensboro Sportsplex, providing a valid PAYS card and your child's Birth Certificate or upload these documents from My Account > Documents. Once the documents have been reviewed, you will be notified of eligibility to register.

Greensboro Parks and Recreation in collaboration with UNCG Center for Women's Health and Wellness will be hosting a day of Play for girls ages 5-16 to celebrate National Girls and Women In Sports Day. The event will focus on providing instruction on a variety of sports while encouraging active lifestyles, socialization and quality of life. Greensboro Parks and Recreation Athletic staff, partners and volunteers will lead these skill development initiatives. This event will take place at UNCG Middle College Gymnasium (1510 Walker Ave. Greensboro, NC 27412). Pizza will be provided to participants.

Participants will be encourage to attend the UNCG Women's Basketball Game vs. Samford at 2pm. Greensboro Parks and Recreation Department offers the Spring youth baseball program for ages 5 through 15 year olds. It is design to create positive environment for youth by emphasizing each individual’s right to participate, good sportsmanship, promoting skill development, fitness and well-being.

NOTICE: First time participants must come to the Greensboro Sportsplex with the child's birth certificate, PAYS card, and registration fee to complete the registration process.
