Start Smart was developed by top motor skills development specialists in the field of youth sports. Parent-child groups perform motor skill tasks that gradually build confidence in children while they are having fun. Start Smart participants will develop proper motor skills without the threat of competition or the fear of getting hurt, which will allow them to enjoy and succeed in youth sports in the future.

An adult is required to participate with the child during the program.

Start Smart Flag Football consists of six skill-building sessions, 6-7 pm, on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday beginning the week July 8 and ending the week of August 14. All sessions will take place at the Greensboro Sportsplex.

Ages: 3-5

Cost: $30 for six sessions. All participants will receive a start Smart T-shirt and completion certificate.

Greensboro Parks and Recreation Department offers the Spring youth baseball program for ages 5 through 15 year olds. It is design to create positive environment for youth by emphasizing each individual’s right to participate, good sportsmanship, promoting skill development, fitness and well-being.

Youth Pickleball – Learn the fundamentals of pickleball. Each participant will receive their own paddle to use during the clinic and to take home.
